Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Interior Design & Decoration (B.Sc. IDD) is a three-year undergraduate program that trains students to design functional, aesthetic, and sustainable interior spaces. The course blends creative design thinking with technical knowledge, helping learners understand how to transform spaces to meet human needs and enhance quality of life.

The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects such as Interior Design Studio, Interior Materials & Finishes, Furniture Design, Building Construction, Lighting Design, Colour Theory, CAD & 3D Visualization, Space Planning, History of Design, Landscaping, and Estimation & Costing. Students also gain hands-on experience through model-making, material exploration, site visits, workshops, and studio-based projects that simulate real-life design scenarios.

Practical exposure is further strengthened through industry internships, site measurements, market surveys, vendor interactions, and live or collaborative design projects with architects and designers. This helps students build confidence, technical accuracy, and professional communication skills required in the field.

Upon completing the program, graduates can pursue careers as Interior Designers, Interior Decorators, CAD Designers, Furniture Designers, Visual Merchandisers, Set Designers, Design Consultants, or Project Coordinators in design firms, architecture studios, construction companies, retail environments, and creative industries.

The B.Sc. Interior Design & Decoration program equips students with the artistic vision, technical expertise, and practical experience needed to excel in the dynamic world of interior design and create meaningful, innovative spaces.
