Overview

The department offers a specialisation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, a rapidly growing sector in India and abroad. The specialization prepares students to understand modern logistics operations, warehousing, transportation management, procurement, inventory control, and global supply chain networks. The curriculum is integrated with research components, encouraging students to explore emerging trends, data based decision making and problem-solving related to business and logistics sectors.

To enhance employability, the department mandates project work and internships, providing students with hands-on industry exposure and opportunities to develop professional skills. Skill development programmes, industry interactions, Guest lectures, industrial visits, and workshops form an essential part of the learning experience.

Graduates can pursue careers in diverse roles such as Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Analyst, Warehouse Manager, Port and Cargo Executive, Procurement Officer, Inventory Controller, Export Import Executive, Transportation Supervisor, E-commerce Operations Specialist, Freight Forwarding and Shipping Documentation Executive. Additionally, students have opportunities in banking, finance, retail, manufacturing, and international trade sectors.

Eligibility for Admission

A candidate who has passed two years Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission to these programmes.
